7.4.2. Who will be involved?

Decide if the evaluation is to include input from anyone involved in the project

Someone from the project being involved:

  • Is likely to have relevant information to hand
  • Could be defensive, particularly if things did not go well

Someone not involved in the project i.e., more like an auditor:

  • Would have to be briefed
  • Is likely to make the evaluation more objective
  • Could mean the evaluation might take longer

There is no best answer, the choice will likely depend on the characteristics of the project, and the availability of potential reviewers.
