With nothing initially in writing the trustees were unable to demonstrate that they had properly considered the project and its financial viability if challenged by e.g., funders, or the Charity Commission.

◼︎Mitigation

Swinsons always ensure that important decisions such as these are properly considered by trustees, and that all discussions and decisions are always minuted, distributed, and made easily available.
